Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to my third weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige Davis, founder of a little company you might know by the name of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I’ll be doing a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world. This week’s theme: Barney Boots.
As you know, on Monday we lost our dear Barney Boots… a loss felt through many homes, many states, and many nations. But Corgi Nation felt it the most deeply. I’ve been crying for days, and I know I’m not the only one.
While trying to wade through the waves of grief that would hit me out of nowhere, I was wracking my brain trying to think of how to honor Barney. But how do you do that? How do you properly honor a dog that (with the help of his wonderful mom) accomplished so much on his own? How do you honor a dog that was light of so many lives worldwide? Well, I came up with something that I think might at least come close to honoring Barney’s memory.
I’m very honored and proud to announce The Barney Boots Memorial Fund! With his parent’s blessing CorgiPals has started this fund to raise even more money for Corgis in need in Barney’s memory. All donations to this fund are tax deductible and will be split evenly on a monthly basis between CorgiPals and CorgiAid… because Barney would have liked that.
Within just 24 hours of starting The Barney Boots Memorial Fund, we have raised $1,661!! If you’d like to donate, please visit his page on our website, or use the widget above.
Also, in true CorgiPals/Paige Davis fashion I have created a custom Barney Boots hat and key chain that I will send to Barney’s parents Deb and Paul. This is what they look like. 🙂

Lovely, Paige. The hat and key chain are the perfect touch. You are a good healer to all of us.
You totally rock, Paige! Corgi on!
