“Rowdy Oscar” will be one year old on November 16th, and he lives with his family in Maben, Mississippi.
They fell in love with Rowdy when they first saw his puppy photo on the breeder’s website.
“My husband Robert has liked Pembroke Welsh Corgis ever since he saw the Queen of England and her dogs” writes Mom Amelia.
“There aren’t a lot of Corgi breeders in Mississippi but we located one in Macon at The Lazy J Ranch.”
“The kids and I went to get Rowdy. We had to have him! I’d never seen a tri-color Corgi before. He looked like a small German Shepherd and was the cutest dog we had ever seen.”
“We still tell the story of how my husband reacted when he came home and found Rowdy. He thought we had bought a German Shephard puppy. Like us, he’d never seen a tri-color Corgi before, but it didn’t take a minute for my husband to fall in love with Rowdy too.”
“Teething dogs can be destructive but Rowdy got a raw potato and chewed on that. We found several baby teeth embedded in the potato he’d chewed on. I quess he taught us something new.”
“Now Rowdy is a very spoiled dog.”
“His favorite game is chasing a tennis ball, and he enjoys playing with our Dachshund, BoBo.”
“We just don’t know what we’d do without him!”
