First photos of Brownie!
From Sally V.:
“Brownie was subdued and showed no personality while we went through the paperwork and rabies shot at the shelter. (Gail, an employee at the shelter was super nice). Minute by minute, Brownie came out of his shell.”
“We took him to my house, gave him a soothing flea bath, a bite of dinner and a nice toweling. This is a REALLY nice dog. I am not sure how much Corgi he has in him, but he is in good hands.”

“His new people Steve and Jacquie have taken him home to their farm. Brownie (next name to be determined) has entered doggie Nirvana and I think he will THRIVE. Thank you all for your good wishes. I will keep you posted with his progress.”

UPDATE 4:00 PM, July 8th:
According to the Advocates for Vance County Animal Shelter facebook page, Brownie — and several other dogs — will be on the road tomorrow on their way to rescue!
Transport is set up, what’s needed now is gas money. Please make a ChipIn donation to fund the cost of delivering these animals safely to their second chances, sparing them euthanization.
To read about the dogs scheduled for transport, click HERE.
Thanks and kudos to all who are making a difference for these animals.

To the best of my knowledge, young male Brownie is waiting for someone to pull him from the Vance County Animal Shelter in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
See HERE for more details.
As I’m not responsible for this listing, I cannot verify whether it is accurate and completely up-to-date.
Please visit The Daily Corgi’s facebook page HERE to see what others have shared about Brownie in the comments section.
Someone has offered to see if he can be pulled (refer to the facebook link for full details). If anybody is interested in fostering or adopting Brownie, please read the facebook page and respond to those who have already posted in the comments below the photo who may be in a position to help.
The shelter’s answering machine says they are closed to the public on Fridays.
If this information is out-of-date, I apologize. At this time I am relying on other peoples’ reports about Brownie’s situation and not in a position to verify anything as completely factual.
Thank you!
