I am thoroughly face washed! Thank you, dogs of all shapes, sizes and varieties of snack-seasoned breath. If dogs aren’t your thing, there are cats and ferrets here too. All the cute you point a waggin’ finger at!
The Spooky Buddies premiere last night was attended by two and four-footeds, and it wasn’t the humans who were giving live feedback … if you know what I mean. How is it that dogs know when to bark at just the right time? What a bunch of hams.
After the film, I got a photo snapped with Buddie B-Dawg. Let’s just say he had a real “hip-hop” outfit on. Photo to follow!
Lest you think it’s all fun and photo ops, let me tell you … this place is full of passionate, informed, animal-loving, and — yes — ambitious people. We are all ambitious to do what we do on behalf of the animals we love so much. There’s a lot of good humor, energy, curiosity, earnest excitement, in addition to exchanging of ideas, information, and business cards.
As a big learner, I sit in the breakout workshops and scribble all the words of wisdom and inspiration as quickly as I can into my steno pad. Feels a bit like college days. (No, I’m not saying how long ago those were).
There is SO MUCH going on here, but at the end of the day, for me it’s really about doing what I do better than I’ve done before, reaching more people, growing our community, and (I firmly believe) spreading the love and good cheer that makes Corgi Nation such a special place to be — for both Corgis and their special people.
I wish my camera’s download function was working, but alas no … I’ll have to remedy that so I can share the photos and short videos I’ve taken after I get home.
Right now I’m on hold with United Airlines, trying to see if they can get me out of here before Wednesday. I miss my cat and home (and my La-Z-Boy :-).
Yours in happy exhaustion … and all filled up on Corgi Love (thanks Jon Farleigh, Dewi, Roxi and Charlie!)
Laurie
p.s. Do I even need to mention how fascinated everybody is by the Corgis? Seems everybody loves them … well of course they do.
They are Corgis.
