Paige is at it again, this time raising money for six Corgis she’s running Helping Paws Campaigns for. Check out the CorgiPals Auction and join the fun while raising funds!
One of the many items up for bid is this very special Llyr’s Fire print by artist Vanessa Keys:
Here is the story behind Llyr’s Fire, as told by Caryl Bahner-Guin: “On June 20th (the summer solstice 2012), a Corgi mum’s solstice fire was dedicated to Amy D.’s beloved Llyr, who went to the Bridge on the 21st after a long battle with DM (degenerative myelopathy). The names of over 400 beloved ones who had already gone to the bridge (not just Corgis!) were spoken, a sage leaf was burned for each name, and they were asked to welcome Llyr when he arrived the next day.
This print is Vanessa Keys’ vision of that very special night. Vanessa will paint in a Corgi (or other furbaby) of your choice, if desired, which will make this print unique and a lasting tribute. We remember… “
