Look deep into my amber eyes. You know you want to. Few can resist.
My name is Cody and I am searching for a new home. A discriminating gent like myself — possessed of a somewhat high strung and nervous disposition — seeks a suitable arrangement. One where my needs are met, and your neighbors are jealous. After all …
… THIS is the sort of thing that inspires neighbor envy! Especially if they’ve never had the good fortune to meet a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. (Such people exist, apparently. I pity them).
My previous family decided I wasn’t getting enough quality time when their household grew by two babies. (The two-footed types). They adopted me in 2008 as a pup, so I’ll be five — and ready for dog-friendly birthday cake — sometime in the late Spring. This is how I ended up in a foster home through Corgi Connection of Kansas.
I am — no word of a lie — a lover of people. Other dogs, meh … take ’em or leave ’em. They make me snippy or possessive unless they are really laid back. Honestly, I’d do best as an only dog in a home with older children or no children at all.
Empty nesters, are you listening?
I’ve been teaching people to walk me on a leash. (Or is it the other way around?) I crate well when necessary and do fine with the feline here. My recall is getting better all the time; I made a trip to “the
farm” over the past weekend and was allowed to roam pretty much free.
farm” over the past weekend and was allowed to roam pretty much free.
When I get the “zoomies”, best steer clear as nothing is sacred and you may get run over. Despite my excess energy, I am a darling boy who just needs a stable home where I’ll be engaged.
I’d like to get settled in a new home as soon as possible so I can begin living the rest of my life … and making your neighbors soooo jealous.
There is, after all, only one ME!
