Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I do a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world.
First, I want to thank everyone who has been spreading the word for CorgiPals. Last week our Facebook page reached 10,000 likes!! This is an incredible milestone for us, and I want to thank everyone for showing support to CorgiPals!
Next, I’d like to introduce our newest client. Meet Nia! Nia was recently rushed to vet after being in extreme pain. The vet discovered that bladder stones were the cause and worked quickly to remove them all. Nia’s been feeling much better since getting those nasty bladder stones out, but her family still needs help with the bill. The total for Nia’s care came to $550, so I’ve set her fundraising goal to $605 to cover Nia’s cost plus the Fundrazr/PayPal fees. Please spread the word for this sweet girl!
Now, please join me in extending deepest condolences to Corgi Mom Lisa for her loss of Willy:
“I have sad news. Willy went to rainbow bridge last Week. He went out of remission in March, but we caught it early and started him back on chemo. It was helping and he seemed to be doing well. After his last treatment he was not feeling well and I was taking him to see the Dr. in the morning. He never made it to the Dr. and died at home while we were all with him. I just want to thank you for all of your help. It gave me so much extra time with Willy that I never would have had.”
Finally, a reminder on behalf of Wally! Modern Dog Magazine is holding a cover dog contest and Wally is currently in the top ten!! Voting ends on July 2, 2014, no sign-up is required, and you can vote every 12 hours. Click here to vote for Wally! In lieu of your votes, Wally and his family pledge to donate $100 no matter the outcome of the contest. If Wally ends up in the top 5, they will increase the donation to $250 and if he wins the contest, they will then double that amount and make a $500 donation!
That about wraps it up for this week! Oh, and don’t forget … CorgiPals has a new company goal that we are trying to reach. We are trying to get our Facebook page to 15,000 “likes” by the end of 2014. We currently need only 4,721 more fans! Please spread the word to help us reach our goal! Remember, every person who knows about CorgiPals is one more soldier in our army fighting for Corgis in need all over the globe! Keep on Corgi’n on!
