Almost every week, I’m privileged to spotlight the rescue work of the fantastic Corgi Connection of Kansas. This time around, I’m happy to announce big news of their Third Annual Kansas Corgi Gathering.
For a glimpse of how much fun — and FUNdraising — this event generates, check out the 2013 Kansas Corgi Gathering Facebook page. More than 100 people and Corgis met last year for an afternoon of playing, running, chasing, treats, Corgi mayhem and prizes. In addition, $4,000 was raised through the quilt raffle, silent auction, sale of t-shirts and donations. As a non-profit organization, Corgi Connection depends entirely on volunteers and donors. They do excellent work every day of the year!
This year’s Gathering is planned for October 18, 2014 in Topeka, Kansas. Reserve that date now and check the Corgi Connection Facebook page and website for more details, as they are firmed up.
For a more in-depth look at all Corgi Connection does for Corgis, check out this Daily Corgi post from earlier in 2014. At a time when there is so much strife and trouble in the world, good people like these are working hard to keep hope alive. Doing it quietly, with little fanfare and much love.
Corgi On!
