Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I do a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world.
First, I’d like to announce that we are now officially accepting entries for the 2015 CorgiPals Corgi Lingo Calendar Contest! You can find all the rules and details HERE, and don’t forget to check out the winners for the 2014 calendar, 2013 calendar, and 2012 calendar over on our Facebook page!
Next, I’d like to bring your attention to something very near and dear to my heart. On January 2, 2014 I lost my father (and best friend) when he took his own life. The loss was devastating, and I am still picking up the pieces and trying to re-learn how to do things without my dad as part of my everyday life. This Sunday, September 14 the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will host an Out of the Darkness Walk to help honor those we’ve lost, raise money to fund resources for those who need help, and raise awareness. I am the Captain of Team Gilbert, and I will be walking in memory of my dad with my fiance, my best friend, and my two Corgis Dexter Jaymz and Violet Ellen (click their names if you’d like to sponsor them). If you will be in the Twin Cities area this Sunday, please feel free to join our team, we’d love to have you! I can’t promise beautiful weather, but I can promise much appreciation. Plus you’d get to meet us, which is a super awesome bonus, right? Corgis for a Cause!!
