Meet Fidgit, the lucky Corgi who gets to explore the little-big state of Rhode Island with garden writer Cynthia Drummond.
This girl is a happy character who makes occasional appearances on Cynthia’s site Digging RI: A Master Gardener’s Blog.
“Fidgit came to live with us in April of 2013 from a Connecticut breeder” writes Cynthia. “We had recently lost Geneva, our seventeen year-old standard long-haired Dachshund. The house was just too quiet without the pitter patter of little doggie feet.”
“Geneva was irreplaceable. But life is too short to be sad.”
“We live on the Rhode Island coast, and the first time we took her to the beach, she surprised us by charging right into the water!”
The four full seasons, the forests, mountains, meadows, beaches, rolling rivers, lakes, ponds, snow, sun and sand. The first smells of Spring and the last blazing leaves of Autumn. The brief, glorious, sometimes unnecessarily humid Summer, and the Winter we love for two months, then curse for three. Speaking of the curse (reversed in 2004!), Boston gets more rainfall annually than Seattle. It’s just served up differently.
