Meet Mya!
Mya may or may not be part Corgi, but Corgi Connection of Kansas has her, and they intend to find this cutie the best home possible — just like they do for every dog they take in to rescue. At best, Mya might be a Fox Terrier-Corgi, but they don’t know for sure.
According to the information CCK got, Mya was born February 14, 2014. Although she’s just a year old, she gave birth to puppies on December 21, 2014. That means this poor girl was bred when she was about only EIGHT months old! (That ain’t right). The owner gave all puppies away for free at six weeks of age, before a fellow rescuer could get to them, but Mya did make it into rescue.
Mya is tiny, right at 20 pounds, but could stand to gain a few more, as she is a bit thin from having pups. She is a very sweet young girl and deserves to have a chance at being a young dog.
CCK would prefer that Mya go to a home where someone is able to give her at least a lunch break, where she won’t be crated all day or even home alone all day. She’s a pretty busy girl and a real sweetheart but could cause problems if left alone for a whole lot of time. Mya LOVES to run, to chase and be chased! She has good recall, too. Her activity level is probably a bit more on the terrier side. She is house-trained and enjoys sleeping in bed with her person.
Mya is being spayed and is in foster care. Because she is so young, they don’t anticipate keeping her very long. Her adoption fee will be $275. She is current on vaccinations, has been heart-worm tested (negative) and micro-chipped.

P.S. The Real Men Love Corgis series is back tomorrow, and into next week! There are just SO many men who love Corgis … who knew? OK, I did. Secret’s out now!
