I’ve known a lot of dogs in my time, and few have been as irresistible as super-friendly, six year old Corgi mix Dewey. He is living proof that dogs can smile (a Corgi hallmark). Just check that goofy grin! As his Fairy Dogmother, I admit to bias. Could you resist this?
Dewey’s an exceptionally handsome little man, sporting a burnished copper coat against vanilla bean white, and a long white-tipped tail that helps him hone in on showing those varmint Frisbees who’s boss.
“Gotcha!”
Every year he competes in the district Skyhoundz competition in New Hampshire. Mom Diane and Dad Dave organize the annual event, and the regulars look forward to seeing him. He’s quick on the field and can be very focused, but sometimes his bionic nose leads him astray. Must be the Beagle in his background.
Dewey loves hitting the road and is always gleefully game for a trip somewhere. Anywhere. “Let’s just GO already! Geez, whatcha waitin’ for?”
It’s been that way since he was a pup. (That’s him with Sadie, his Sheltie big sister. She’s a doll).
Dewey’s got a vehement dislike of vacuum cleaners. His favorite things include walks with his Min Pin neighbor Jacobi, guard-dogging the house against mail carriers and delivery men, supervising cats and squirrels, sleeping (a lot) on his back, chewing on ice cubes and squeaky toys, snarfing microwave popcorn, chasing balls, teasing Sadie, and relaxing on people beds. Dewey plays hard and he relaxes hard.
“Must … keep … one eye … open … “

i just wanted to say how much i enjoyed seeing these pics and finding this site in general. i am the proud puppy parent of what i now…from seeing these pics…know to be a corgi mix. Smeagol showed up as a dumped or drop off dog. This happened only 30 days after losing my beloved Rotti of 9 yrs. I never thought another dog could steal my heart especially a little dog and as my dad would say a "mutt"…but here i am bragging about my little guy. I always thought he might be corgi or sheltie but never pursued pics or sites until the past few days…just out of curiosity. so just let me say this is great and i enjoyed all the pics…but Dewey and my Smeagol could be twins. i love it and would love to share some of my pics.
