THANK YOU, CORGI LOVERS!
I just want to thank each and every one of you for supporting The Daily Corgi. It’s a dog-powered blog, and it can’t happen without you.
It all began for me 43 years ago with an inescapable childhood love of dogs, which blossomed eventually into a weakness for Basset Hounds, progressed through various crushes on short-legged terriers, and reached a fever pitch in the 1980’s with my “discovery” of Corgis.
(I know, I discovered them the way Columbus discovered America. But I digress).
How could I, a young 20-something, commit to just one breed? I went on to a tempestuous mid-90’s affair with the Border Collie, had my head seriously turned by an Australian Silky named Noah, but by my 30’s I’d resigned myself to my fate.
Who but a Corgi could pull off what looks like parts of different dogs put together with such style and comical grace? Sure, I love the short legs. Yes, the satellite dish ears make me act goofy-all-over. But most of all I love the smile, the smarts, the humor and utterly unembarassed love-of-life that Corgis convey. For me, they embody the philosophy of being right here, right now, in the moment, never missing a trick because it all just goes by too fast, and you don’t want to miss out on any of it … do you?
Well do you?!
Plain and simple, Corgis — like all dogs — are good medicine. That’s why I created The Daily Corgi.
So we can all be Corgi Crazy together. Crazy, but happy.
p.s. Please don’t tell the cat.

It was nice to read a little more about your love affair with Corgis! It's good to get to know the person behind the page. 🙂
