Today’s post is dedicated to the past and present royal Corgis of H.R.M. Queen Elizabeth II, the world’s most famous Corgi lover.
The Queen’s recent decision to stop breeding her royal Corgis signals the end of an era. It’s difficult to imagine the expanses of Buckingham or Balmoral without those merry little legs, isn’t it?
From a young age, the Queen has been deeply connected with her dogs. Over the years she’s had many different Corgis, including some Doxie/Corgi crosses (“Dorgis”). For Corgi lovers like us, it is easy to understand why she chose their consummate company above other breeds.
After all, even the Queen is not immune to Corgi Power.

RULE CORGI-TANNIA!

We saw the internet news article about this and noticed that one of her past corgis looked exactly like our BG! It was amazing! He is 1/2 Pembroke (OC, his Mama is full Pembroke) and 1/2 sneaky Chihuahua/Doxie. He took his size and shape from his Mom and his short brown coat and slightly bigger ears from his Dad. He looks a lot like the two black and white pictures in this post, but exactly like one that was in the news article.
