Joy and Cozy are Pembrokes living in the great state of Washington. (Hello, Washington!)
Seven year-old Joy is the red female. She was born and lived in Hokkaido, Japan with her Mom Mai until she was five years-old. Joy is a bilingual Corgi who understands some Japanese and English words.
Joy is an agility dog, and has been in trials for two years. Here is some video of her at work:

May says Joy is “very calm and quiet but stubborn.” She loves to chase wild rabbits, but “she listens to her Mama very well.” Since Cozy was a puppy, Joy has taken care of him as if she were his own mother.
Cozy is two year-old, a light fawn male. He was born in Washington state, and has been doing agility since he was 4 months old. “Our friends say that Cozy believes he is a Border Collie, because he grew up playing with agility Border Collies. He was in agility trials right after he turned a year and a half.”

Cozy’s a big fan of water and swimming. “He looks like a beaver in the river.” Cozy loves to play with other dogs and adores fetching. He is calm but he has many “monsters” (afraid of so many things).
Everyday Mai takes Joy and Cozy for a long walk in the woods. These delightful Pembrokes have never had a single spat, and are extremely compatible.
“We are very lucky to have both of them.”

Thanks for ending the week with a flourish, Joy and Cozy!
A big four-paw salute to you both, and welcome to The Daily Corgi.

I know these three personally as well as Mai's husband (who just happens to be our #1 videographer) – – Mai and I trial together and I have been one Cozy's and Joy's agility instructors and have been honored to have Mai as one of my first rate students! Cozy started training as a very small pup – needless to say he was alllll ears! – and he now thinks I am the greatest thing since sliced bread! I have my own personal 'stalker' and he is furry and four-'legged' and has a cold lil nose!
I am proud to have these two as my fur-friends!
