Boots and Muffy were the last two pups in a ranch litter born on Halloween in 2006. They’ve been very big dogs masquerading as Corgis ever since.
Boots the boy is a clingy guy; if you move at all he has to get up and follow. He’s a very talk-y dog who has to be almost touching somebody all the time! Maybe he ought to be re-named Shadow?
Boots loves to shake … the better to show off his fine form, no doubt.
He’s the stout one.
Muffy is a loner, “a cave dweller who likes to sleep alone.” This dynamic duo is absolutely convinced they’re Very Big Dogs.
Of course!
Together, they love to get out there and chase the ball. Any ball. So far they’ve gone through several sizes of soccer balls and even a big Yoga ball, which didn’t last in the paws of two young and exuberant Pems. “Pop!” went the yoga ball, and that was the end of that.
So far, the only ball they can’t destroy is a basketball.
(Give ’em time).
Mom takes them on long daily walks in the local parks; the occasional yell of a wild turkey scares Muffy, who takes cover behind Mom’s legs.
Another outlet for all that Corgi x2 energy is anything involving water. “They absolutely LOVE the water! We take them in the pool and they always go into the lakes and rivers here when we are walking.”
Sounds like a pretty WOOF-tastic life for Boots, Muffy & their people!
(Personally, I’m tired just writing about all the stuff they do, times two ;-).

Four paw salute to you, Boots and Muffy!
