Pembrokes Fern and Cleveland live in the seaside town of Amesbury, Massachusetts, where they like to keep tabs on the local birds (so far they haven’t caught any). These “boat yard dogs” go to work every day with their Dad John, a boat carpenter in Salem, Massachusetts.
Female Fern, who’s nearly two, likes to fetch, play, and do laps around the house for no particular reason (FRAP-ing!) She loves her belly rubs …
… lots of belly rubs, please.
While she’s kind of bossy, her (nearly) four year-old brother Cleveland is much more laid back. Mom Lindsey writes “We should have named him Eeyore because he’s so mellow.”
Cleveland: cool dog in the warm sun.
He wants nothing more than to snuggle with people, cuddle, wrestle with Fern (oh, the noises they make!), eat (people food isn’t allowed), lay on people’s feet and look for food.
Cleveland and Fern aren’t really brother and sister, but they do share a relative somehwere up in the family tree.
“They are very loved”, says Lindsey.
I think we can now safely add another thousand or so admirers to that number!
