Blue merles Clyde and Saffir keep it Cardi down in San Antonio, Texas!
They’re from the same parents, one litter apart. Their folks David and Blanche D. say they’ve been “inseparable from the start; they even go to the vet together.”
(Can you imagine all the heads that turn when these two show up? WOW!)
Five year-old Clyde loves to play catch with his favorite toy and is very vocal when his demands aren’t met on the double. Fittingly, Clyde means “loud-voiced” in Welsh.
“Dad, didn’t you hear me the FIRST time?!”
“I only wear my tiara on special occasions.”
Six year-old Saffir is much more outgoing than her brother, and is “a real princess when she’s getting attention on walks.” Saffir enjoys squirrel chasing and tug-of-war.
Saffir in pupper days.
If you look in the dictionary under “CUTIE-PATOOTIE” …

I am new to Corgi's, but isn't that color unusual? Interesting. Sandie
Laurie Eno says
It is unusual, yes. You don't see the blue merle in many breeds, and with Corgis you only see it in Cardigans (not Pems) as far as I know. I believe there's also a brown merle, though if I'm wrong somebody will correct me :-)!

We have a tri pem, and the previous owner would breed it to a merle cardigan, then the merle puppies would have their tails docked….That's the only way I know to have a pem with merle coloring – but her puppies still had the cardigan features without the tails.

The retinal reflections in the first couple of pix makes it look as if they have mesmerizing powers in their eyes….. or do they???? Very cute.

Absolutely gorgeous. Our Cardigans are either black/white, or a blonde brindle. Hope to get a Blue one day!
