Buttercup, aka “Her Royal Highness Princess Buttercup” was the smallest pup in her litter, but obviously she got the lion’s share of the charm. And she’s not afraid to use it!
Her Mom Joyce Smith (who is a professional photographer) brought this angel home to Philadelphia at 18 weeks old. Her husband, five year-old daughter and long-suffering 13 year-old feline Hannah have welcomed — to varying degrees, Hannah would say — this four-legged parcel of industrial strength cute into their hearts and home.
As IF!

“I can’t believe how little she was short a short time ago!” marvels Joyce.
These photos are a bit out of date, as “Butters” (a.k.a. Butterific, Butterlicious) is nearly five months old now. But everybody loves a baby album, right?
“She adores romps in the yard …
… playing up in the fort of the children’s playset …
… and confusing vet techs and other passers-by with her tail.”
(Buttercup is from a breeder who doesn’t dock the pups).
Buttercup relished puppy kindergarten, but you’ve got to wonder who had more fun with it: the trainers or Buttercup?
Hello, Dogue calling!!
It’s not all work, though: with Hannah the cat around to chase, life stays more than interesting.
