When four year-old Mikko isn’t barking for his favorite hockey team, the Minnesota Wild, he is perfecting his tricks for treats as if every day was Halloween.
Soon I’ll be fluent in four languages!
His favorite trick is talking, and showing enough skills to stay while a treat is on the floor.
Mikko was born in Wisconsin, but his folks Aaron and Danielle R. brought him home to Hastings, Minnesota. “We snuck him across the border from the land of cheese” jokes Dad Aaron.
Can you resist this? Really?
Mikko’s funniest story is his first encounter with a feline. One afternoon he discovered a stray kitten, and not knowing what this “scary beast” was, he sheepishly flipped onto his back in utter submission!
This personality-plus boy loves to flirt with Roxi (a Sheltie) and pester his buddy Rusty (a Cockapoo).

Wintertime finds him dashing through the snow and chasing snowballs.
Slowly but surely, Mikko is becoming a cuddle dog. He’s great with kids, though he is hooked on sniffing and licking ears for some reason.
“And it’s becoming easier to trim his claws! This has been a challenge.”
Indoors, Mikko loves to frap figure eights around the furniture.
“I’m cool like that”.
Outdoors, he’s an avid “bird watcher” who likes to find birds in the trees and chase ducks in the Fall.
