Jayne and Ryan O. got their child — er, Cardigan — Rocket from a breeder in Pennsylvania four years ago.
“He was seven weeks old, and he’s been living in the lap of doggy luxury in Philadelphia ever since.”

“Rocket is the MOST friendly dog you’ll ever meet. He instantly becomes your best friend and can’t understand why we drag him away from opossums and unfriendly dogs. Rocket loves to talk; he’s a very vocal dog, making the classic Corgi woooo wooooooo noise all day long.”
“He has a very interesting look going on with the one ear up, one ear down. One ear grew up as it was supposed to, and we followed the breeders advice and to tape the other one up. Rocket was NOT happy with that. After finding tape all around the house, we told him ‘You win. If it happens to go up, awesome … if not, oh well’.”
“Needless to say it never perked up, but it just adds to his character.”
“Rocket’s favorite pastimes are chasing anything that moves or makes noise (especially squirrels and flashlights), chewing sticks and playing with friends.”
“He loves carrots and ice cubes, and pretty much anything else crunchy. He only has a few ‘hard’ toys because he’s destroyed everything else. Plush toys don’t stand a chance in our home. Although we still buy them for him, we know we’ll be picking up the cotton filling a few minutes after he gets his chops on them.”
