One year ago today I decided that there ought to be a daily blog for Corgis. While to some (non-Corgi lovers — yes, those people actually exist) this seemed like a bit of a lunatic idea, I felt like Edison discovering electricity.
EUREKA!
Perhaps there already was a daily blog about Corgis … but I couldn’t find it. I did find a lot of blogs by Corgis, about Corgis, but none modeled after the famous Daily Puppy.
So I created it.
And the Corgi people came.
Slowly at first … “approach the Crazy Corgi Lady with caution”, they whispered among themselves …
But the Power of the Corgi drew them in, inexorably, to a new Corgi-verse. A land of unbridled joy. A place where we can all be loony together about (let’s face it) the best dogs anywhere.
Corgi Power to the People!
A year into this thing and folks are still bringing The Short-Legged, Big-Eared Cute to me. It is a daily gift, all these Corgis showing up, sometimes more than I can handle at once. My in-box is full of Corgis! Sometimes I stop and wonder what I did to deserve such gifts. Then I stop and remember all the time I’ve put into The Daily Corgi. Which points up a certain level of insanity … but if I’m happy, and I can make some other people happy in this all-too-often less than happy world, it’s worth every minute.
As Tasha Tudor (another Corgi-crazy lady) said, “Take Joy!”
