Deeply heartfelt sympathies go out to Jan B., a volunteer/foster/rescue Corgi person in Arizona who had to say goodbye to her Murfee yesterday.
Jan writes that Murfee, who was one of the Dogs of the Day back on April 22, “was 13 with a bad heart and had been on meds for a year … it was just getting the best of him and yesterday he stopped eating … the decision was hard, but I know it was the right thing to do.”
“Not that anyone really knew him, but we Corgi folk do stick together and I could use all the support I can find.”
Jan and Jordan, consider yourself supported, loved and cared for in your hour of loss. You undoubtedy have the understanding and solidarity of many, many people in The Daily Corgi community and beyond. We don’t have to have known Murfee to know how wonderful he was … he was a Corgi, after all!

“OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN
YOU GAVE US SO MANY YEARS OF JOY
IT IS OUR DUTY TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT SUFFER
THE HARDEST DECISION WAS TO LET YOU GO
YOU WILL LEAVE A HUGE HOLE IN OUR HEARTS AND OUR LIVES
OUR ONLY HOPE IS THAT YOU FIND THE HUMANS AND ANIMALS WHO MADE THE JOURNEY BEFORE YOU
WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN ONE DAY”
JAN & JORDAN
