Thanks all for your concern and outreach.

This Corgi mix is waiting for adoption at the Rutherford County Animal Shelter in Rutherfordton, North Carolina.
UPDATE:
I heard from Sarah this morning and as of 8:30 EST, this is what she wrote:
“We have had some interest from rescue groups, but nothing firm yet. We would love to find her a home and our policy on any dog is “first come first served.” If anyone wants to get her out, send them this way; if a rescue can move her, they need to contact the Community Pet Center @ 828-287-7738 (a volunteer org. that works with us at the shelter and coordinates with rescues).”

Tracy,
Just got your comment up here … so GLAD to hear from you!
Did you hear about this girl from The Daily Corgi's post? What have you named her?
It would be great to learn more about her. I'd love to do a post about her sometime.
Thanks for saving a sweetheart!

This is Tracy again… We named her Reina. She is such a a sweet little thing. She is a bit afraid of people though. She has decided to be a bit clingy to me. That is okay though I don't mind. I am just working with her to be not so afraid of my kids. She even sleeps right next to my bed. She gets along fine with our other dog as well. HE likes her a little more then she likes him though.. lol. I have to get her fixed asap. Well, I will keep you posted on how she is doing… but so far she is doing great. Thanks for asking. Tracy

She is adapting well to her new home. Her name Reina (means queen in Spanish) fits her well. She got her shots the other day and is getting fixed this coming Thurs. Don't want any pups. I will keep you posted, but so far she is a happy, loving little sweetheart. Tracy
