Jeannette De Mars of Corgi Connection of Kansas shared this happy ending story of Sammie, a good boy who ended up in the loving arms of some surprised and happy girls!
“Sammie was picked up as a stray in the far southwest corner of Kansas. A volunteer at the shelter found the Corgi Connection of Kansas website and asked if we would take him into rescue. As luck would have it, Corgi Connection had a connection and was able to get Sammie transported the four-plus hours to it’s rescue.”
“While he was heartworm negative, Sammie had about every other kind of worm you could think of and of course he needed to be neutered. Shortly after posting Sammie for adoption, a family near Tyler, Texas applied to adopt him. A few short weeks in foster care and it was determined Sammie was ready for his new home. A dedicated dad made the nine-hour drive from their home to Milford, Kansas where he instantly knew Sammie would be perfect for their family.”
“At the end of his trip to Texas, Sammie greeted three young girls who had no idea why their dad left town! As you can tell from the picture, their smiles (even Sammie’s) couldn’t be happier!”
