Frankie the Cardigan Welsh Corgi is a great traveler and needs getting to (or near) his forever home in Shipshewana, Indiana.
Frankie was picked up by Animal Control as a stray in rural South Carolina. He’s currently with foster Mom Leslie Gene Reed in the Huntsville/Madison area of Alabama.
Leslie, who has had Frankie for just a day or so, says this boy “is a doll baby — he barely stopped wagging his tail all day and watched TV last night in a dog pile on my couch. He’d love to spend the holidays with his new folks and Cardi “sister” Vanessa; I’d like him to go as soon as possible.”
Frankie is neutered, fully vaccinated, walks on a lead, and is a great traveler.
Anyone traveling North on I-65 though Nashville TN, Louisville KY, then I-69 through Fort Wayne, Indiana would be helpful. Although Frankie’s ultimate destination is Shipshewana IN, his new folks are visiting family on Saturday/Sunday in Evansville IN, so that might work too, and they are willing to drive to meet someone.
Leslie will be in Jackson MS this weekend, leaving on Wednesday, and says if anybody is coming to those shows and then is headed North, she can bring Frankie with her if she knows ahead of time. Or if anybody is going to the Cleveland OH shows this weekend, that might help too. If pickup isn’t possible before Wednesday (when Leslie leaves for Jackson MS), Leslie says Frankie can hang at her house or with Jeri Lamy (both near Huntsville, Alabama) until he can get on the road. Jeri may be able to get him started as far as Nashville, TN, depending on her work schedule.
If you can help with some of the trip or know someone who can, please get in touch with Leslie directly at reedleslie@bellsouth.net or (256) 655-1789 cell or
(256) 776-0005 home.
Please help Frankie spend Christmas with his new forever family!
THANK YOU!
