Joe A.’s Pembroke Starlett turned ten in September, but she still looks and acts half her age.
“Even my vet thinks so!”
“She’s been in my care since the age of three when she retired from dog shows” writes Joe. “Starlett is a total diva in the show ring, and while she will strut, pose, and melt the hearts of any human being to cross her path, she absolutely will not share the spotlight with another dog.”
“Other dogs? They’re jealous of all this, baby.”
“I think she actually enjoys walking past a dog’s house, then hearing its occupants bark and get all riled up. The smile on her face after this happens is all the proof I need! She is my little troublemaker.”
“Starlett’s favorite pastimes are walks, chasing squirrels, playing fetch, lounging on the sofa and begging for treats.”
“There’s no keeping a good Corgi down, don’tcha know.”
“I am especially grateful for her great health and youthful energy, because in the Spring of 2009 Starlett was very ill and diagnosed with Addison’s Disease. I’ve heard many stories end sadly after such a diagnosis, but am very happy to say that with only three daily pills, Scarlett made a full recovery within a year.”
“She’s a wonderful companion and I love her very much!”
