Baxter of Pennsylvania

Stacey Y. says her three year-old Pembroke Baxter is “such a goofball”.

Hmmmm …. sure looks goofy to me. Awesome!

“He’s the best dog ever and great with our toddler Emily, who throws him food from the dinner table. Baxter makes her laugh so hard when they’re playing tug of war with each other. He’s knows to pull gently when she’s holding the other end. I think they’re going to be best buddies when she grows up!”

I don’t know how to spell … yet.

“I swear he understands English, because there are several things we need to spell out, like walk, mail, ride, and swimming.”

“Baxter has several favorite almost-destroyed toys we haven’t had the heart to throw out because he still plays with them so much (even with their missing squeakers and fuzz falling out), including a duck, a beaver, and a stuffed dog that he’s had ever since he was a puppy.”

“He also covets our daughter’s stuffed hedgehog. If he finds it he’ll carry it around, lick it, and put it in his dog bed, but he’s never once tried to shred it … “

… I think he’s secretly in love with it.”

“Baxter loves swimming, and in the summer we take him to a park near us to swim in the pond. In the summer we vacation in Maine, where he gets to swim in the ocean (close to shore, of course). He absolutely loves it!”

“Will wear funny hats for food”.

“His favorite snacks include apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, and Gerber puffs (courtesy of Emily).”

“He has a best buddy named Buster (a Beagle who lives next door), and we also can’t say Buster’s name if he’s not going for a playdate, because Baxter just goes nuts. He has another Beagle buddy named Max, and a Pembroke girlfriend named Ellie who he spends a lot of time with.”

“Me and my gang!”

“Baxter is the friendliest dog I’ve ever met, and loves other dogs and any person he meets. If I could clone him, I totally would. We couldn’t ask for a better companion.”
