Hi, my name is Gracie!
My friends also know me as “Gracie Face” and “Cuckoo Bird”. I am a beautiful Pemmie/Aussie Shepherd (standard size you know), living in my Bay Area forever home with my hu-mum Paula and my hu-man Joe
Notice my soft brown eyes … aren’t they lovely?
I am very brave.
It’s love!
I flew to San Francisco from Texas from “Corgis n’ Critters”, a very special rescue place. I’ve been “gracing” my humans’ lives for over two years now.
Before I arrived my Mom had another fur baby who looked like me, only a little more ladylike. Ok, a lot more. Her name was Sadie and my Mom thought she was peeeeerfect.
Well, now she knows what perfect really is!
I take good care of my Mom. She doesn’t work anymore because I am her full time job! We walk for miles every day.
Out on the trail with my good butt-ie Tootsie Roll. She was the Dog of the Day on The Daily Corgi last year!
Mom doesn’t mind ’cause we need to “adopt” every new person in the community, anybody two or four-legged, warm and breathing.
On Wednesday Walkies, me and my friends get biscuits.
Once we walked so far Mom needed a map to get back! We don’t take the cell phone because it would probably just go on roam! You can see from the pictures that she really loves to collect Corgi types the best.
I am very responsible. It’s my job to swallow up all the worms, living or dead, bubble gum, candy wrappers and Goose P**P. We walk down by the lagoon near where we live. It’s a bit of a trial the day after a concert, but with my Corgi appetite it’s easily taken care of.
Mom wishes all the “Canadians” — well Goose style — would go home and never come back. She calls me her “Cuckoo Bird”, do you know what that means? I thought she said she didn’t like birds!
I really love the beach, but forget the water. It stinks to swim with a leash on but my Mom’s afraid I’m not going to come back. Ooooh the sand … I could roll in that ’til the cows came home for herding!
I love getting dirty. Getting clean — not so much.
Can I help it that I’m this beautiful?
So you see, Mom had no idea what she was missing.
As much as she misses her Sadie, I do my best to leave her NO TIME to think about anything but me!
I think it’s working.
