After being pulled from a high-kill shelter at ten months (thanks Pawfect Match Rescue!), doing a foster stint in a home with a bunch of Siberian Huskies, and tolerating a long drive to his forever family, Hamlet marched straight into Crystal W.’s heart and made himself right at home.
At three years old, “he’s smart, trained, friendly to humans of all ages and pets of all types, and quite obviously handsome as all get out” writes Crystal.
“Hammy enjoys his search and destroy missions for squeakers hidden inside his toys, and occasionally sneaks up on one of the cats so he can sleep next to her.”
“He comes with me to the office every day and is a very hard worker. Hamlet does his best tricks (sitting up and rolling over) to win petting and treats from my coworkers.”
Those Huskies must have clued him in to the delights of snow, because he thinks it’s the ideal weather!
This Pem’s quite a gifted frapper!
“Hamlet’s a little bit of a scaredy cat and a Momma’s boy, but that’s OK. We saved him in order to pamper him, and he’s pampered all the time.”
Just as it oughtta be, Crystal and Trey.

Great post! Here's a big thanks to all of the caring people who take the time to save dogs from shelters and give them a second chance at having the life they deserve.

I agree! We are so lucky to have Hammy in our lives. My co-workers adore him too, and they get mad at me if I need to leave him home for a day. Hamlet is spoiled and loved- what more can you need? 🙂
