READ the LATEST TRIGGER UPDATE HERE!
Di Hamelin of Little Legs Rescue has an update for us on Trigger, who was featured on the blog last week!
“Trigger’s doing good and our vet says he is a “sweet little gentleman”. He’s getting water therapy, pain meds and muscle relaxers. He’ll stay in the doggy hospital in Tennessee until the beginning of June, so he can recover from the heartworm treatment and continue to get the rehab care he needs for his disc injury.
Howelling Kennels Corgi & Cattle Dog Rescue in Springfield, Ohio has a disc-dog-experienced foster home happy to take Trigger in, once he’s released from our vet. (I do not have an available, experienced Little Legs Rescue foster home to take him). So we will transfer “ownership” of Trigger from Little Legs to Howelling Kennels rescue, when he’s discharged from our vet hospital in Tennessee. We have a couple of wonderful people who have volunteered to help transport him from Tennessee to Ohio, a distance of about 370 miles; we’re shooting for either June 4th or 5th.
If anyone wants to put in an Adoption Application for Trigger, they can visit Howelling Kennels’ website:
http://howellingcorgirescue.rescuegroups.org/
and click on “Adoption Application” on the left. He won’t be ready to go home immediately upon arriving at his foster home, but they will happily take applications and begin the screening process.

So, to clarify: he is a Little Legs Rescue dog until June 4th or 5th, and after that he will be a Howelling Kennels Rescue dog. Until he is transferred to Howelling Kennels, we will be responsible for his care and his expenses. ALL money that was raised thru the ChipIn that you posted for me on Trigger’s behalf on the blog that isn’t spent on him beforehand, will go to Howelling Kennels when he goes to their foster home.
Please continue to send prayers/good thoughts for Trigger! I thank everyone for their interest in his progress and I will send updates when there is new news to report.”
Hugs,
Di Hamelin (and Cubby)

Are they aware that it's spelled "howling"?
Laurie Eno / The Daily Corgi says
@Anonymous, LOL! I thought the same thing, but I'll bet that spelling is a deliberate choice. Maybe based on somebody's last name, or a humorous variation on the spelling. Corgi People do have better than average senses of humor, after all 🙂 …

Yep – it's run by Angie Howell….
