Friends, unless I am in Machu Picchu without a laptop, I will probably never be able to get away from my beloved blog entirely on what is supposed to be a “vacation”.
Not when there is EXCELLENT news like this to share!!
GOOD NEWS UPDATE 7/26/2011:
Corgi People have now donated the full $850 Paige needs to file for non-profit status for CorgiPals, Inc.!
Uh-maze-ING!
CorgiPals, Inc. will be organized (and I quote from the bylaws) “for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes, more specifically to provide monetary support for Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and Corgi mixes in need by conducting fundraisers to aid in the payment of veterinary services and treatments; and to provide monetary support for the transport and boarding of rescued Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgis and Corgi mixes.”
Congratulations, Paige! You continue to ROCK ON for CORGIS in need.
In case you haven’t met them yet, here are Paige’s low riders:
To read more about this paw-some accomplishment, click HERE, and be sure to bookmark her blog to keep up with future news!
p.s. Even as she’s been busy taking on all the paperwork to establish CorgiPals Inc., Paige has pitched in to publicize a fundraiser underway for sweet Yoda, a recent rescue with Middle Tennessee Corgi Rescue.
This little guy has early signs of Degenerative Myelopathy and must have tests to rule out other conditions, including advanced arthritis. At ten years old, he also needs a good general exam and bloodwork.
Read more about Yoda on the CorgiPals blog HERE, and pitch in HERE to help make sure he reaches his $350 goal. Right now giving stands at 47% … onward and upward for YODA!
The Daily Corgi is insanely proud to be affiliated with Corgi Pals as a “sister blog”. Which (by the way) means absolutely nothing official, just that we try to work together so the sum of our parts is greater than what either of us could do on our own.
Which also pretty much sums up the power of the Corgi community, doesn’t it?
Corgi Power to the People!!

Until she registers as a 501c3, Paige can’t raise anymore funds for Corgis, so time is a factor here.
The Corgi kids at play … see more at Corgitopia!
I’m thrilled that Paige is putting her considerable talents to work on such a great cause, because let’s face it: she’s helping not just Corgis but Corgi People too!
In the interest of full disclosure, yours truly is now a member of the CorgiPals Board of Directors.
(My official title is The Duchess of Britches).
By the power bestowed on me by the Queen of Drummies (a.k.a. Paige), I ask for your support in this important charitable endeavor.
Thanks, and CORGI ON everybody!
