Hellloooooo Daisy Mae!
(But I won’t, because I have a post to finish).
Here you are with your lucky folks, big-time horse lovers Tom and Debbie Churchill, and your ten year-old “sister” Emma. Now THAT’s a happy lookin’ family, right there!
Hear tell, you two are top-notch greeters/sales girls at the family’s tack and apparel shop.
Then again, you are Corgis, and Corgis can do nearly anything.
Anybody with horse sense knows THAT, huh?
You’re a busy little gal, Daisy Mae, traveling to horse shows up and down the West Coast. No doubt you charm plenty of socks off along the way!
Little kids love you too …
… could it be because you’re still a kid at heart?
Sure looks like it!
… yes, you are popular. Very.
Still, a gal needs her time away from the spotlight.
And her own room at the motor inn.
And a cat friend named Scarlett.
All to herself, thank you very much!
So tell me, Miss Daisy Mae … what’s it like to be a STAR?

Two years later and still as adorable as the first time.

A lot has happened since Daisy was featured on the DAILY CORGI….Feb 14th, 2013, Daisy collapsed from an auto immune disease after having her rabies booster. We were told that 50% of all dogs diagnosed die within the first 2 wks, and only 20% will survive it altogether. Well, it has been 2 years and we are happy to say that Daisy is doing WELL, thanks to the wonderful internists at UC Davis Vet Teaching Hospital!
Our sad news is, though, that we lost her sister Emma at 14 yrs of age due to Degenerative Myelopathy.
Life never stays the same, it always changes….now we are looking to add to our family a new corgi pup in the near future, we hope !!!!

Hello to all.
Daisy lost her battle on Nov 1, 2015, but not from her auto immune disease….it was a gall stone.
This little dog sure took a piece of my heart when she left.
Thank you again for featuring her in your blog. Facebook reminded me of the post today.
Fondly, Debbie Churchill

Oh Debbie, I’m so sorry. What a heartache. They really can take a part of their people when they go. Thanks for sharing her with my community of readers.
