Thanks to everybody who entered the drawing!

One of the fun things about the BlogPaws 2011 Conference was all the “swag” they were giving out to pet bloggers.
Because I am a Packing Ninja, I didn’t need another suitcase to carry all the stuff home … by the time I finished, there wasn’t any room left for a single one of the hotel toiletries. Not a one.
Who needs their fancy suds anyway? I’ve got something MUCH better to give away!
I’ve got BOOKS!
That’s right, two beautiful hardcover books from The Ryan Newman Foundation, a NASCAR-affiliated charity established in 2006 to get good things done for pets, people and the environment.
Featuring NASCAR stars and their pets — including a few Corgis! — these “Pit Road Pets” books are chock full of photos and funny, sweet stories of how these companion animals enrich lives everyday.
To put your name in the hat for the giveaway (there will be two winners, one for each book), simply leave a comment on this post. Right here on the blog please, not the facebook page.
OR you can sign up for The Daily Corgi’s tweets (@thedailycorgi). Either way gets you entered!
Tell me what you like about the blog, what you hope to see more of, or if you’ve got any suggestions for features / articles … consider this the “suggestion box”.
Deadline for entries is midnight (US Eastern) on September 14th.
The Ryan Newman Foundation is a truly “on the ground” group, putting their time and money into getting the message out and making a real difference. They have fundraising events throughout the year, and like the NASCAR races, they are FUN-raising too!
I had the great pleasure of hearing Krissie Newman (Foundation Vice President) speak at BlogPaws 2011. The video below is a part of her presentation on on community education for animal welfare / pet rescue organizations.
I was impressed and inspired by Krissie Newman and her fabulous commitment. She’s a mover and a shaker!

What I honestly like about this blog is that the book includes a few corgis. I think it should have more 🙂 but I'm happy it has a couple. I have 2 corgis myself and whenever I see a corgi in person or in a picture I go crazy!!! I love corgis and I hope to win this book just for the corgis 🙂

I LOVE The Daily Corgi – Thank You! I would love to hear more about the quirky things Corgis do. Mine took a tomato from the garden, carried it carefully (no teeth marks) across the yard and buried it in my flower garden.

Glad we had a chance to stop by. Being a retired librarian and loving dogs, I'm ashamed I didn't know about these. We love the Daily Corgi and all the wonderful information that you make available. We especially love seeing pictures of other corgis.
Thanks!

I think this is a great offer. My mom just recently started watching NASCAR with her new husband and would love this book. It would be a nice gift for her (after I look/read it). I love dog books and dogs. Okay, I love my cats too. Thanks for the chance to win Laurie.
