Molly’s story is one of survival and triumph against all odds. You will love her, the people who saved her, and the woman who’s taken Molly in and given her the soul mate every dog deserves.
Molly was part of a recent puppy mill rescue carried out by the Humane Society of North Texas. The man in charge of the mill had passed, unbeknownst to anybody for three days, leaving behind more than a hundred dogs to fend for themselves in extreme heat without water.
Of the 92 surviving dogs, Molly was the only Corgi.
When the HSNT investigator arrived at the site, Molly followed her all over the property, never leaving her side. She tolerated a bath back at the shelter, although she wasn’t crazy about the soap and water stuff. Molly was happy to go home with foster Mom Sandy G., snuggle into a clean blanket and sleep for two days!
A few weeks ago, Sandy brought Molly out to a new foster home. Debbie M. was there, and when she met Sandy, there was Molly laying up against the barn wall behind her. “I sat down on some boxes and talked to Molly and she came right over to get petted” writes Debbie. “I offered to foster her, but fell in love instead. She’s been with me pretty much from that day on.”
“Molly moved into my house right away, and from the beginning has made herself totally at home. She sleeps right next to me in the bed and is always within a few feet of me.”
“She’s a sweet and loving dog who has has managed to fill a void that’s been there since I lost my first female Corgi to old age some years ago.”
“In the past week Molly has found her voice and her place among my resident dog pack (two Corgis, a Border Collie, a Dalmatian mix and a Great Pyreenes).”
“I am thankful for what Humane Society of North Texas does for many reasons, but even more so with Molly added to my home.”
