Growing up, Bill D. had always loved Corgis but never owned one of his own.
That all changed three years ago, when his Mom gave him this tiny furball for his birthday.
“Joey was 6 weeks old and smaller than my foot! It was love at first sight. There was no way of knowing then that Joey would grow up to be a thirty pound lap dog.”
“He’s a very emotional Corgi. Whenever I have to scold him, Joey goes and sulks in the corner of the room.”
“He’ll turn his head and look at at me as if to say ‘I’m sorry’.”
“Joey found his first true love in Desiree, one of the shelter animals we fostered for a time.”
“Our friends James and Aubrey were inspired by Joey. They succumbed to Corgi puppy love, and in came Myron! He and Joey hit it off well during their play dates in the beginning …
… but as they grew, Joey and Myron fought for the right to be the “only” Corgi in our lives. It’s an ongoing battle .”
“In addition to spending time with our three cats, Joey enjoys adventuring with his canine brothers in crime: Jack (a Flat Coated Retriever) and Myles (a Papillon). Here, Joey and Jack stop for a quick drink during a hike at a local park.”

“He’s stubborn and doesn’t always come when called, especially when he’s playing with his friends!”
“When Joey was a puppy, he’d never kiss my wife. Thanks to her training, today he does nothing but kiss people. He’s unstoppable! Joey knows his kisses make us laugh, and will pile them on just to keep us going!”
Joey lying on the AC vent — one of his favorite warm weather spots in the whole house.
“You mean all I have to do is walk and look cute to help other puppies, Dad? Count me in!”
“Joey and the rest of the family have participated in several walks to promote awareness and raise money for homeless animals in our county.”
“After a long day of frapping and random Corgi-ness, Joey locates the largest pile of blankets and pillows and builds himself a nice bed.”
Nighty-night, Joey!
