“The primary goal of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Health Foundation, Inc. (CWCHF) is to raise donations in order to benefit research projects which study health issues affecting Cardigans. Research which in turn may ultimately help all breeders to improve the health of their dogs. Our current focus through the year end will be to fund raise for the benefit of ongoing research in auto-immune issues, such as Addison’s Disease and we hope to organize a fundraising effort in 2012 to support Intervertebral Disk Disease research.
The CWCHF fully intends to work in cooperation with breed clubs and health organizations to achieve these goals. As with rescue and the development of the CWCNRT, this organization was created to help fill and support a need. It is our hope that we will be able to assist breed clubs in their efforts to help breeders continue to produce top quality dogs with fewer worries about health issues. We also hope to find ways to make contact between cardigan breeders/owners and researchers more accessible and health testing more affordable.
The CWCHF is on facebook and our website, http://www.cardiganhealth.org/ includes a blog where articles and announcements will be posted. The site will provide cardigan oriented health information, resources and links to read about current research in progress. A newsletter which will be available to associate membership donors is in the works.
The CWCHF is a legally incorporated organization in the process of applying for 501c3 non-profit status. Currently donations are not tax deductible, but will be in the future when the process is complete. Donations can be made on-line through our website via ChipIn and Paypal. We hope to have a feature available soon on our website which will not require Paypal membership for donors.

Our current fundraiser is titled “Be A Saint For Cardigans”
Donors who give $20 or more will receive a Cardigan Angel Ornament as gift in return for their generosity.
A limited number of Pemmie angels can be made available on request.
The ornaments will be offered as a thank you for donations through the end of the year, but anyone who would like one before Christmas should donate before Dec 3rd to allow enough time for production and delivery.
