UPDATE: Zoie’s fund has reached goal!
THANK YOU to all who have donated!
Friends, you may remember Zoie of Kentucky from posts over the last month or so here on The Daily Corgi. She’s the sweet gal who went blind from cataracts as seven week-old puppy.
Her family had to surrender Zoie because they couldn’t care for a dog in this condition.
Thanks to a recent hugely successful CorgiPals Helping Paws campaign, Corgi people donated enough money for Zoie to be evaluated as a candidate for sight-restoring surgery.
Last week Zoie had her surgery, and it was SUCCESSFUL — she can see again! Her Mom Rebecca G. says Zoie is looking her right in the eyes (and as we all know, probably directly into her soul :-).
To complete her recovery, Zoie needs $400 for checkups and medications. CorgiPals has stepped up to the plate again and established a ChipIn fund to make this possible.
The ChipIn link is on the right hand side of the screen there … giving is easy peasy with PayPal.
How Corgi-cool is it that Zoie can now not only smell those deer on her walks, but see them too?
VERY Corgi-cool, that’s what!

What a miracle Zoie is! I'm so happy she can see light. What a special moment when Zoie could see in to the depths of her mom's soul.
