It was love at first sight when Emily J. first held little Widget in her arms at a horse show ten years ago. “His whole life long” says Emily, “Widget blessed my family with so much laughter and love.”
“Widget — who we named for the Gremlin because of his big ears — was so animated! He would bark at dogs on TV. He loved to swim and even had his own pool, which he shared with his Jack Russell “brother”.
“Our boy was always smiling. He was talkative and adored his chats with us. He enjoyed running, and got out for a run on the morning of his last day. We had no idea Widget was even sick. He never let on.”
“He loved us until the last minute.”

My heart goes out to your family for your loss,I too named my corgi after a Gremlin(Gizmo)because of his ears.I will say a prayer for you. I know your pain because I lost a corgi of 16 years(Beardog) and I think of him everyday.

We lost our Corgi, Corie, about 15 yrs. ago. We had a couple of rescues, now gone too. The only dog my hubby would let me get again was another Corgi, Mojo. We are retired now and Mojo fills our lives with love. I can't fathom your loss – not knowing Widget was sick. Take extra care of your Jack Russell now. He will be missing Widget as much as you do.
I am so very sorry for your loss! My boy is 12 & I know my time with him is limited :(. He has overcome both cancer & kidney issues! Corgis are such special dogs and great family members!!!

My greatest sympathies for your tragic loss. No one knows that empty feeling loosing a furry loved one until it happens to you. I know he's romping even now with my Katie in lush fields of green and playing daily. May your hearts mend soon.
