Dug was on the “urgent” list at a local shelter when he was pulled by Sandy G. so he could have another chance at the life he deserves. “This delightful and smiling fellow is one of the happiest, most cheerful and good-natured dogs we’ve ever met” says Sandy, “with a Pembroke tail that virtually never stops wagging!”

Since The Daily Corgi has been doing the Wednesday Adoptables feature for a few months now, I thought it would be cool to follow up on these “winner take all” poopsters to see where they are now.
Forrest and Jenny Jubilee, who first appeared here back in September, have both found forever homes!
Jenny, a shy gal in need of a quiet home went to a single fella’s house in Texas, where she undoubtedly Corgi-fied his world in no time at all. She was looking for “quiet, safe and gentle”… it’s terrific to learn she’s found just what she was looking for.
Forrest went to a wonderful family with a few kiddos and another high energy pooch (doG love ’em, kids and two high energy dogs)! For a happy love bug who loves to play, it’s the perfect fit.
After a shelter stint and a couple of rounds in foster care, January boy Ranger has found himself a patient and loving lady who understands his highly opinionated ways and hard to handle habits. While not aggressive, he is quite food and toy possessive. Corgis can be inclined to this, and fortunate Ranger has had the luck of ending up in the hands of people who are willing and able to work with him on it. He is an active boy who loves his tennis balls and some satisfying snuggle sessions.
Kudos to Sandy G. and the Humane Society of North Texas Welcome Home Adoption Center for their major part in Jenny”s, Forrest’s and Ranger’s happy endings. I hope to get updated photos of these Corgis soon, and when I do you can be sure of seeing them here!
Fellow January adoptable Gimli of Tennessee has gone on to bless a new home with his endearing, slightly grumbly but oh-so-Corgi Cardi-liciousness. Way to go, Tavia M. and Middle Tennessee Corgi Rescue!
Trea of Oklahoma found his way to a happy ending too. Congratulations and an enthusiastic thumbs up for the good folks at OK Save A Dog!
On another rescue-related note, Daily Corgi reader Penni A. of New Mexico had a hand in getting Cardigan/Cattle Dog mix Pepper rescued from 24/7 outdoors life and quickly into the home of a family with a sweet gal he now calls his own.

“Pepper is so sweet and happy” writes Penni. “He wants to be touched and held and stroked, but has no behavioral issues.” Unless you count making little girls smile and giggle, that is :-).
Well that’s the latest dispatch from the Happy Endings Department, friends. More proof that in the right home, rescue dogs CAN and DO rock the Corgi socks! These dogs have a tremendous amount to offer; treat ’em like royalty and you’ll get their everlasting loyalty. Stay tuned for more adoptables and updates next week, and Corgi On!
