Good News, 3/20/12: the campaign to raise money to get Otis Mooney’s Mom Alex to the Florida Corgi Picnic and treat her to a Spafinder card reached and surpassed the $1,000 goal in a day!
Way to go, CORGI NATION!
Love and healing to you, Alex. Watch for a sign from your boy … he will be sure to send one when he arrives safely at the Bridge.

Nearly two months ago, Otis Mooney made his Dog of the Day debut here on the blog.
At that time, Otis had just been diagnosed with lymphoma and was given four to eight weeks to live. True to his indomitable Corgi spirit, Otis lived all those weeks with joyful zest.
Last night he lost his battle with cancer and went to the Bridge.
So many people came to know and love Otis in such a short time. Many hearts are breaking, none more so Alex Mooney’s, his Mom.
Some very kind people have set up a ChipIn fund to pay Alex’s airfare to the 2012 Florida Corgi Picnic, and purchase a Spafinder card so she can treat herself to some relaxation at this tough time. Corgi Nation is gathering around Alex virtually, and will do so face-to-face at the picnic … let’s get her there!
If you’d like to donate — and no amount is ever too small — please visit the ChipIn page today.
Frap forever in peace, Otis.
