Joe H. had always been a cat person (in his words: “I know… tragic!”), but his wife Robin always had dogs growing up. They decided to take the plunge and get a dog together. “We both researched the perfect fit for us” writes Joe. “We live in an urban area in a relatively small apartment, so we wanted to make sure we had a breed that would match our living area, situation and lifestyle. After many Google searches and consulting with friends, we decided on a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.”
“We set out to find a breeder and located a highly recommend one a few hours’ drive away. She worked with us to make the perfect match for our personality and temperament from her amazing litter and truly helped us make the perfect choice.”
“Jasper came home with us in 2008. He was the runt of the litter and needed a bit of TLC. One of his ears didn’t come up on it’s own so we had some adventures in taping, which led to some great pics.”
“Jasper Islington has made such an impact on both of our lives! He has a fantastic personality and temperment. He’s intelligent, strong willed and independent, but also very sweet, loving and devoted.”
“Did I mentioned strong willed? He loves to play outside but is just as happy curled up in a ball on my wife’s lap or on his back in his bed.”
“We even incorporated him into our wedding cake since he couldn’t be there in person.”
“Robin and I love Jasper very much and look forward to many more years of companionship!”
“There has been some construction in our area the last few months and Jasper really doesn’t like all the noise. It’s been a bit of a challenge to take him out sometimes. His new “go to” move is to hide under the bed.”
“When he’s not hiding under the bed, he’s found a way to make his feelings VERY clear.”
“Jasper is a HUGE fan of apples and peanut butter. When my wife sits down for a snack, she has his undivided attention!”

Hi Jasper's family. We are struck by the similar features of Jasper and our Seamus…and we are also in the D.C. area. I wonder if Jasper is from Triple H Corgis? Perhaps we have cousins? Seamus's 4th birthday is today. Would love to find out if Jasper and Seamus (also fluffy) are of the same family.

Jasper is adorable. My corgi also loves to roll over on his back when we are walking and he decides he would rather stop and sniff something than continue. He lays down, rolls over because he knows I can't lift him up with his harness when he is on his back. I end up waiting until he decides to move again. Frustrating at times, but it makes me laugh.

I can connect you with Jasper's family to get the breeder information; they are perfectly fine with releasing it.
Drop me a line at thedailycorgi@gmail.com and I'll connect you for that info.
Thanks!
