JD of Missouri

When RaeAnn G.’s family lost their beloved English Setter in a devastating accident two years ago, her step dad was so heartbroken she thought they’d never again have another dog. Fate intervened a month later when a neighbor asked if they would take in a puppy found in the parking lot of a liquor store. “Despite loving him to death” says RaeAnn, “the neighbors just couldn’t keep him. “After seeing how he played with my then 7 and 11 year-old sisters, my step dad agreed to take the puppy in.

“Another of my little guy’s peculiarities is his love of his sweaters. I normally don’t really see the point of putting clothes on a dog unless they need it for warmth and/or protection, but JD absolutely adores the doggie hoodie my Mom picked up for him.” 

“Tess and JD are the best of pals, running around like a couple of crazy kids in the backyard. It usually doesn’t last too long though, because JD’s little legs just can’t keep up with all the manic energy Tess has.”

“His other four-legged buddy is Bob, our tuxedo cat. Until JD got too big and took up too much room, the two would actually sleep in JD’s crate together. Bob loves to sneak through the grass when JD isn’t paying attention, then pounce on his unsuspecting ‘victim’.”
