Radar Corgi McWiggleson was born with a special birthmark on his cheek in the perfect shape of a heart. This was undeniable proof to his Mom Jaime S. that he was meant to be her lover boy!
Two year-old Radar was born on October 6, 2009. “He was the smallest of the litter and people said he looked like a squirrel! That would kill his Corgi friends now — they all hate squirrels! I may have babied him and the human kids may have been a little jealous of him, but Radar was Mom’s baby!”
“Radar is one of several fur kids in his home. Four year-old Callie is his half sister; they share the same fur dad. Big sister Sadie, a Border Collie mix, just passed recently from Cushing’s Disease at eleven. New addition Buster Bombastic is the adorable Pembroke puppy who follows Radar everywhere.”
“I made Radar a facebook page a few months ago and noticed that there were HUNDREDS of Corgis on facebook! To be honest, I use his page more than my own; the people and dogs are so much nicer and more interesting! Radar made a lot of friends very fast, and with the help of Chloe Anne Johnson met his true love Chloe Chesnut. Radar has opened many groups on Facebook to help bring his friends together!”
“Soon after Radar found how fun facebook is, he found out his hu-Dad has oral cancer. Radar knew something was wrong because about two weeks before Dad knew something was wrong, Radar would follow him and lay on him — not his Ma! Every morning Radar will sniff Dad’s mouth and say “yup, it’s still in there.”
“He is doing his very best to help heal his Dad! The Corgi Nation he found on facebook has been so supportive, and even though she hasn’t met him, Dad’s radiologist loves Radar! She gives Radar permission to come to the office and be his Dads own therapy dog. Radar is very excited about this! He is very helpful and diligent on updating his facebook friends with any information his Ma gives him and even posts links to Ma’s blog.”
“A typical day in the life of Radar is wake up … sniff test Dad’s cancer … eat breakfast … wake the human kids up for school … play ball … go to bus stop and get all the neighborhood kids on the bus safely … come home to play ball … nap … frap with sister Callie … play ball … play more ball … sit with Dad while he eats lunch … more ball … nap … frap … eat dinner … frap … frap again … go to bed and snuggle in between Ma and Dad for a good nights sleep! There are potty breaks in there too, but Radar doesn’t go for the cold weather unless there’s snow! So potty breaks are usually pretty quick!”
“Radar LOVES to play ball and we only let him play Frisbee when we’re outside all day. Frisbee is like crack to him! He shakes and gets all excited and yells at us if we take too long to throw it!”
“Thunderstorms scare Radar, along with bass in the TV, but he LOVES music! Human friend Ted came over and played piano for Radar’s sister and Radar fell in love!! It was the best noise he has ever heard! He also likes to help Dad learn to play his guitar!”
Radar has lots of videos on his own youtube channel … check ’em out!
“I just put together a book of Corgi photos inspired by Corgi Nation. I’m now working on the next book, with Corgis in Halloween costumes. To find out more and submit your photo, visit the facebook page.”
Welcome to The Daily Corgi, Radar! You are obviously a very good boy!

Hi I live and work for a 90% corgi called Abbey , she came to me from the SPCA Cape Town, It was love at first sight. We are attached at the hip. Abby's not afraid of any breeds. She lies in wait flattening herself and charging as long as I am close by. About 5ft from her quarry she will turn around and come back to me and stand behind me, just in case. Her friend at home is a 14 year old golden retriever called Joe

Radar is an amazing friend….he is my BEST friend and always there when I need him! He has done an amazing job at helping heal his dad of cancer and we will find out in a few weeks if the cancer is GONE! He is my MAN and yes he sleeps in between my husband and I every night! He is my security blanket! It's hard to go to sleep with out his cuddles! Thank you for having Radar as corgi of the day. As sad as this day was due to Otis passing….Radar brought light to the day! :o)
