Carlie the Cardi sits in her bay window for hours, watching the people, dogs, butterflies, cars and leaves go by.
Although she’s a playful dog, Carlie takes her observation duties very seriously!
And there is never, absolutely ever, any lying down on the job. Well maybe sometimes …
This happy face and feet greet Michelle and her boyfriend Ray when they get home. “I miss her when I’m at work, and thinking about rubbing her belly when I arrive home is what gets me through the hours with an extra large smile” writes Michelle. The joy works both ways!
“She was born 11/8/11. We got her after the hectic holidays — a little after New Year’s. Ray and I had purchased a home together in November, and I promised myself I would get the Corgi that I’ve longed for when I bought a house with a large enough yard for a dog. He decided Carlie would be my late Christmas present. We searched high and low and it came down to this little girl or another five month-old Pembroke. I fell in love with both of them but knew Carlie was the one.”
“She is so precious, I couldn’t have asked for a better puppy. Our super friendly, playful and lovable girl interacts frequently with dogs and kids. Slowly but surely she’s learning how to walk on a leash, and does well until she sees people and other dogs. All she wants to do is say hi!”
“Carlie’s doggy friends include Bella the King Charles Cavalier, Stella the German Short Haired Pointer, Lady the Pit Bull mix, Millie the mutt and many other neighborhood friends, including a Pembroke Corgi named Roxy.”
Some of our neighbors know her as “the doggy in the window”. Corgi on patrol!
“We recently took her to a spacious dog park with a creek for the first time. Her first swim was unbearably cute. In an effort to introduce her to as many new adventures, people, and fellow four-legged friends as we can, we’ve gone with her to the dog beach in Longport, New Jersey and taken a dip in the Brandywine River. We plan on taking her canoeing along the Schyukill River, and on camping, hiking and more beach trips.”
“Like all Corgis, she’s super smart. Carlie just turned 8 months and she knows how to sit, lay, stay, “dead dog” and paw. She’s truly everything we hoped for and more!”
