Ever since his folks Jade and Todd brought him home as a wee pupper, Ash (aka “Ash-tastic”, “Bear-Bear” and “Ash-ton Poocher”) has chased every last dull moment from their home.
“I had been madly in love with the breed forever” writes Jade. “They just always look so determined. I love that. Although we had our sights set on a sable, the little tri-color passed every intelligence and compatibility test with ease.”
“About a year ago we thought Ash might need a buddy and started looking at rescue sites and local adoption places.”
“We discovered Debbie David in Omaha, who runs Helping Hand for Animals. Debbie loves every animal she comes in contact with, and as luck would have it, she had a momma that had just recently delivered a litter of Border Collie mixes.”
“We fell in love with them and took home Bucky — or Shortstop as his foster parent had named him. We decided to change it but keep the baseball spirit Named for Bucky Dent, he also answers to “Buck”, “Bucky Bear” “Bubba-loo”etc.” (Ed. note: Bucky Dent! The Daily Corgi lives in Red Sox Nation … as in 1978 — Bucky Dent? — ouch! 🙂
“Ash and Bucky became the best of friends.”
“They love to play together but their favorite thing to do is take over the bed. My favorite part of the day is just sitting and watching them play.”
“We discovered the local dog run and “the boys” are fairly certain that it is the dog equivalent of Disney World. Dog Run = The Happiest Place on Earth.”
My husband and I always say “It’s their world; we’re lucky enough to live in it!”
That sounds about right to me! Corgi on, everybody!
