Wrigley with the laughing eyes made his Adoptables debut on The Daily Corgi in early August.
A month and a half later, this charming eight year-old Terrier/Corgi mix hadn’t been adopted. He was still in foster care, where he had been for months.
So Wrigley became my pet project. I was determined to get the “smartest, funniest dog on the planet” in the hands of somebody who could see every last wonderful thing about his unique self.
On September 26th, Daily Corgi reader Mary P. saw Wrigley’s second “available for adoption” blog post. She visited him and applied to adopt.
The end result? Wrigley came to live with Mary and her seven year-old Pembroke Teddy, where he is
acclimating very well. Wrigley’s terrier traits are
very apparent, and there is no aggression between him and Teddy, who walk together. Mary writes “I am enjoying watching his antics. He’s demonstrated his bed-jumping skills, very helpful when I’m trying to make the bed. It has been a long
time since I’ve had a dog with a tail, and Wrigley’s seems to always be wagging. He is so handsome and charming.”
