Did you know that the vast majority of pet owners give their companions
gifts at the holidays? Of course you do! They deserve it (even if
they’ve been a wee bit naughty). As part of the seasonal fun here on The
Daily Corgi, I’ll be sharing lots of cool gift suggestions on the
blog, the facebook page and twitter too.

The folks at BlogPaws (yep, the same folks who run those paw-some pet blogging conferences) have put together a Holiday Gift Guide that puts the fun back in functional. Today I spotlight a few of their excellent suggestions … if you’d like to see more, click the Holiday Gift Guide icon at the top of the hand sidebar!
First up, the Thundershirt. Yep, the one and only famous Thundershirt — for dogs and cats. (No foolin’).
The holidays can be stressful for our companions, with the changes in routine, environment and travel anxiety. Thundershirt can help ease jitters. Experts believe that pressure has a calming effect on the nervous system and may release calming hormones like endorphins or oxytocins (the feel good stuff). Recommended by vets and trainers around the world, Thundershirt is so effective there’s a patent on it!
Available for $39.95 in a range of sizes, you can purchase a custom embroidered one (or two) for your furry loves. Shop now at Thundershirt.com and get a free personalized stocking and squeaky toy with code GIFT12 at checkout! Be sure to enter your pet’s name in the gift notes box.
p.s. I love this funny video of a Thundershirt helping a dog make friends with Santa.
Did somebody say FOOD? Every Corgi’s nose knows!
Made in the U.S. with no artificial ingredients, oven-baked, allergen friendly Jones Venison Sausage Natural Chews will make their eyes wide and their mouths water. Corgis and food … like parallel lines, right? If you’re going to treat them, treat them right!
To locate a retailer near you, visit Jones Natural Chews on the web, and check out their cool facebook page.
Got the FURminator de-shedding tool? With double coated canines like Corgis, keeping all that fur under control is no easy task. If you’ve already got a FURminator, now you can amp up the speed and power of your already great grooming tool with their new Vacuum Accessory!
A FURminator reduces shedding by 90 percent%, improves your pet’s skin and coat health, reduces potential problems with allergies, prevents hairballs in cats and keeps all that pet hair from engulfing your furniture (and family). Compatible with small, medium and large size FURminators, this nifty new product features two removable heads to adjust tool size, and two attachments to fit all vacuum brands. Hair goes right into the vacuum … clean up is easy peasy! What’s not to like for $19.99?
Find FURminator products at pet specialty stores, professional pet groomers, veterinary practices and on-line at Furminator.com.
Ever seen a Corgi (or two) on a treadmill? It’s ridiculously cute and it gets those flanks-a-crankin’.
The minds at dogPACER treadmills have revolutionized the dog treadmill market. (Didn’t know there was a dog treadmill market, did you? Me neither!) Developed to offer exceptional quality treadmills at an affordable price, the original dogPACER and the Minipacer — for small dogs up to 55 pounds — are made of strong but lightweight carbon steel, to withstand even the toughest (aka frap-worthy) workouts. Designed as a supplement to quality outdoor activity, the dogPACER Minipacer is improving the lives of dogs and their owners everywhere.
At $479, the MiniPacer puts your Corgi through his paces without taking up a lot of room in your home, and folds up for storage or travel.

Nowadays, all the hip kids wear hoodies. Cool Blue Dog is down with the trend. Their newly launched line of hoodies for hard-to-fit breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs (French and otherwise) and Boston Terriers is super stylin’: see the entire range at their site.
If your pup’s got primo pals with “smooshy” faces, these make snappy gifts to keep them warm and stylish for around fifty biscuits. (Uh, dollars). See the whole line and shop at Cool Blue Dog.
