Former Thursday Adoptable Matilda Peacock (aka Tilly) has landed herself a new home, by way of Corgi Connection of Kansas and her patient, funny foster Mom Gretchen A.
I have arrived.
Mattie has gone on to grace the life of Joy C., who picked her up in Lawrence, Kansas last Saturday and brought her home. “I think Saturday exhausted her as she slept most of Sunday” writes Joy. “Gretchen said that Tilly she would follow me everywhere and she does, making it up and down the stairs as necessary. Most of the time she bounces like a rabbit. I hadn’t noticed that Corgis do that until a friend of mine saw Ruby (one of my foster girls) flying up the stairs.”
“Tilly is eating well. I clipped her lead onto her collar this morning and she went directly to the front door and sat down. So I learned something. From her time with Gretchen, she knows that a lead means a walk. She also turned her tummy up for me to rub today on the couch, which I have heard is a sign of trust.”
“Yesterday I left her in the crate while visiting a quilter friend. From her whining and crying, she didn’t like that at all. I’m not sure it’s the crate she doesn’t like or being
alone, but I suppose I’ll find out soon enough.”

“Tilly really likes my backyard, even if it is quite small, surrounded by a privacy fence.
The piles of snow don’t seem to bother those short little legs of hers at
all … she just goes plowing through.”

“She is fast becoming a wonderful
companion and a total love!”

I'm so glad Tilly has found her forever home. That is awesome she already rolled over to show you her tummy (and of course receive some rubs).
