Good morning Corgi Nation, and welcome to my weekly guest spot on The Daily Corgi! I am your host Paige K. Davis, founder of CorgiPals. As you know, every week I’ll be doing a guest post to keep you up to snuff with the goings-on in the CorgiPals world. This week’s theme: Yo Mama!
This week I’m going to shed some light on the four CorgiPals clients that are closest to reaching their goals. But first things first… a Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there that have human and fur kids alike! We here at CorgiPals obviously love dogs, but today we celebrate the special women that have chosen to share their love and compassion with animals of ALL types. How did you celebrate with your babies? Here’s what I got from Dexter and Violet:
“To teh best mmmy evar, we and daddy love you!!! Luv Dekster and stoopid Vilet” |
On to the Corgis! All four of the following Corgis are less than $1,000 from reaching their fundraising goals, and they all have moms! So this Mother’s Day, consider making a donation as a present to the loving Corgi Moms that didn’t give up on their fur babies when times got tough.
First up we have Baxter. His Corgi Mom Mandy first wrote to me requesting help in early April. This handsome 7 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix was taken to the vet recently for swollen lymph nodes. He’s been very disoriented to the point of not being able to walk, and his veterinarians have yet to pinpoint an exact cause. Baxter needs $475 to reach his goal.
Next up is Minnie. This adorable girl is less than one
year old and has recently suffered a debilitating hip injury while
playing with another canine friend. She is unable to run and play like a
normal puppy due to intense pain. Minnie will need surgery to correct
the problem, and Corgi Mom Cherry needs help with the bill! Minnie only needs $432 to reach her goal.
Sammie is next on our list. This adorable young Corgi mix was rescued from a highway tunnel when she was just a baby. It was clear she had been abused. Her new family, including Corgi Mom Beth, have given her a loving home and helped her through several issues with dental care and other health maintenance. Recently, she tore not one, but BOTH ACL’s in her hind legs and could not walk. Instead she was dragging her legs behind her. Sammie has already had surgery to repair one ACL, and is now working her way through rehab to get strong enough to have surgery on her other leg. This sweet little girl only needs $997 to make that happen.
Our list concludes with the devastatingly handsome Mr. Sully. I don’t often get to meet my clients, but Sully’s Corgi Mom Jenna happens to be a friend of mine and he is a GREAT little dog. He recently tore his ACL just like Sammie and my Dexter Jaymz. Poor Sully was unable to walk and even fell over when trying to go potty. He has already had surgery and now just needs help with the bill. Sully only needs $997 to reach his goal.
That about wraps it up for this week! Oh, and don’t forget … CorgiPals has a NEW company goal that we are trying to reach. We are trying to get our Facebook page to 10,000 “likes” by the end of 2013. We are currently at 5,153 fans! Please spread the word to help us reach our goal! Remember, every person who knows about CorgiPals is one more soldier in our army fighting for Corgis in need all over the globe! Keep on Corgi’n on!
